12 DAYS BUSH, HOT SPRINGS AND BEACH SAFARI

Leave Nairobi for Samburu National Park arriving in time for lunch. After brief relaxation, afternoon game drive in the park in search of braving lions in the grass, leopards in the trees, Somali Ostrich, beisa oryx and giant crocodiles, liver-red reticulated giraffe, the long-necked gerenuk antelopes, and the elegant gravy’s zebra. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp.

Early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast.  Spend the rest of the morning at leisure. An afternoon game drive in the park.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge / camp.

Leave Samburu for Lake Baringo, a fresh water lake, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge.  After lunch, take a boat trip around the lake to view the numerous birdlife.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast depart for Lake Bogoria to view the hot springs and later proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is famous for its abundance of flamingoes and also home to the Rothschild giraffe, the rare water buck, pelicans, the black and the white rhino, arriving in time for lunch at the lodge /camp.  After lunch afternoon game drive in the reserve.  Dinner and overnight at the lodge /camp.

After breakfast, embark on a game drive at the park. Lake Nakuru’s catchment is bounded by the Menengai crater to the North. Depart for the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the lodge/ camp.  A brief relaxation after lunch, then embark on an extensive afternoon game drive in search of black manned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos and other plain games. Return to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, take a morning game drive in this vast Savannah grassland looking for the big five (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhinocerous) and other plains game. This day shall be spent enjoying game viewing drives in the early morning hours and in the evenings as this is when we have the best chances of seeing wildlife. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October. A visit to the Mara River to see the hippos and crocodiles, that co-exists in the same water. This is the natural migration bridge of the wildebeest and Zebras on their way from the Tanzania Serengeti National Park into the Kenyan Maasai Mara.  Return to the lodge/camp for lunch (unless you are doing a full day safari, where you will have picnic lunch while on safari) and relaxation as you enjoy the hotel facilities. Embark on an afternoon safari in search of more wildlife and birdlife. Dinner and overnight at the camp. 

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and head to the Maasai Village to learn about some of the cultural practices of the Maasai community including making fire using sticks, dances among others. Continue on your journey back to Nairobi, with a stop for lunch and a brief relaxation moment en route.  On arrival in Nairobi, drop off at the pick-up point or any other agreed spot.

After breakfast, depart for your flight to Diani.  On arrival at Diani, check in at the hotel and relax at the beach. Spend the rest of your day at the hotel exploring the beautiful Diani Beach at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Two days of leisure to relax at the beautiful Kenyan beach and the warm ocean. Spend time in the hotel enjoying the facilities as well as one another’s company. Optionally, leave for a full day trip to Wasini Island where you will spend the day snorkeling and swimming with the dolphins. Sail to Kisite marine national park where you will snorkel and swim. Kisite Marine national park is the second most famous marine park in the world after the Australian Marine Park. It covers an area of 30km. Animals seen here include turtles, marine tortoise, bear reefs, coral reefs and different types of marine fishes. Alternatively, talk to the sports centre to organize for you any other type of interesting activity. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave for your flight back to Nairobi, for your flight back home.
